Retire a Team Name

Team names can be very near and dear to our hearts. People take them seriously, they become a part of our identity, and as such we are allowing people to retire the names of teams that took dodgeball seriously, and are no longer playing.

Retired team names cannot be used except with written consent from the last captain.

If you wish to retire a team name, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Teams that played at the top level (Draft, Gold, Premier) must have played 3 seasons with the chosen name in order to retire it.
  2. Teams that did not play at the top level (played in Bronze, Silver) must have played 5 seasons with the chosen name in order to retire it.

Dodgeball Winnipeg reserves the right to reject any request for any reason, including (but not limited to) not meeting the requirements above.
