About DBMB Cloth Draft League

DBMB New Cloth Draft Division

From DBMB:

“Cloth is a high speed, quick transitioning game of offense to defense, with 6 players and 5 balls. The DW/DBMB Cloth league will run as a draft league. Everyone registers as an individual, and teams will be created from the available pool of players. At the end of the season all teams are dissolved. The games will each be officiated by a referee, who will keep the game flowing smoothly. Players are required to abide by the refโ€™s decisions, in order to keep the games going quickly. Arguing with the ref is not permitted, and players displaying a poor attitude, caught intentionally cheating, or starting arguments will be issued the appropriate yellow or red card. Players consistently displaying poor sportsmanship, or bringing drugs/alcohol into the premises may also be ejected from the game and/or the league. We are here to have fun, letโ€™s keep it that way!”

How are the formats and this league different?
The rulesets are entirely different from traditional foam dodgeball that we play, and will require a learning curve if you are trying out this division.
The balls 7″, and made of cloth filled with air (like a volleyball).
It is an 8 game season, not 9 like traditional foam. 6 game regular season and 2 game playoffs.
@ Glenwood School (51 Blenheim Ave)
It is run by DBMB, supported by DW, meaning it follows both organizations rules and codes of conduct, but DBMB will ultimately be responsible for any questions you may have regarding this division.
Game times will run between 7:30 & 9:30PM.
