Code of conduct and harassment policies
Code of conduct and Ethics: Dodgeball Winnipeg will follow to the standards set out by Dodgeball Canada. There is an expectation, at all times, of appropriate behavior consistent with the values of Dodgeball Canada. Code of conduct can be read here.
Harassment Policy: Dodgeball Winnipeg will adhere to the standards set out by Dodgeball Canada. Dodgeball Winnipeg is committed to providing a sport and work environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity. Each individual has the right to participate in an environment which promotes equal opportunities and prohibits discriminatory practices. View the full Policy here.
Sexual harassment is not acceptable under any circumstances – everyone has the right to feel safe. Please contact a referee or the league immediately if you see, hear, or experience anything of this nature.
Discrimination is not acceptable under any circumstances.
Derogatory comments based on someone’s appearance/ethnicity/gender/etc will not be tolerated. Think before you speak, you do not want to be given a yellow or red card for your conduct.
Consequences for harassment or discrimination may result in severe penalties up to and including a permanent lifetime ban.
Referee Harassment Policy: This policy has been developed to address the growing (and unfortunate) trend of referee abuse in amateur sports. The policy, as set forth below, is simple: Any physical, verbal, or written abuse of referees is unacceptable. View the full Policy here.
