This is a common question we are seeing from new teams/players, so we would like to take the time to explain.

When you register your dodgeball team, you get to choose the night of the week you play (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday), but your games can start anywhere between 6:30 and 9:30pm (10:00pm in special circumstances, but that almost never happens).

In past, we had teams request specific schedules but were not able to accommodate. For this reason, we introduced a system where teams can purchase a specific timeslot for the evening they play. The cost for this is $90, and we only sell 2 per night of the week. For example:

Let’s say Team Rocket signed for Sunday nights, but one of their players works until 6:30 pm every Sunday. Since Sunday games can start at 6:00 or 6:30, they decided to pay the $90 to request 7:30 or 8:00 games every Sunday. This gives their player some time to get home from work, change, and make it to the game every week instead of having to miss any/all of the games that start earlier. Since Sundays are the biggest night of the week, they purchased the time slot as soon as registration opened to make sure they got it.

Another example: Team Dai-Gurren plays Tuesday nights, but one of their players is a medical doctor who has to be at work and rested for 7:00 am every weekday. For this reason they purchased a Tuesday timeslot to request games that start at 6:30 or 7:00 pm so they can get home and have plenty of time to relax, unwind, and get to sleep on time. Tuesday timeslots are not in as high demand as other nights so for this reason they were still able to purchase a time slot halfway through the registration period.

TLDR: You get to choose the night of the week you play on no matter what, but if you want to choose the specific time you play on that night each week you can pay $90 through our webstore to buy a “timeslot”.
