Good evening all Dodgeballers,

The major changes to note are as follows:

• A catch is deemed complete when the catching player is in control of the ball. Control can be established in the air; a catching player does not have to touch the ground to be considered in control of a ball.
  • DW HOUSE RULE AMENDMENT: No catch will be allowed as a result of jumping over the center line. In the spirit of player safety, we want to strongly discourage crossing the center line during play. A warning will be presented to players who attempt to jump over the center line. Additional attempts may lead to a yellow card.
• There are some changes in how the WDBF uses the time clock at the end of the match. Essentially if a round ends with less than 30 seconds left on the clock, the game ends with no additional “no blocking” round.  DW WILL NOT BE USING THESE CHANGES AND WILL CONTINUE TO PLAY WITH THE ENTIRETY OF THE CLOCK INCLUDING THE FINAL NO BLOCKING ROUNDS.
