Learn to play Dodgeball this Thursday at EECC

We are hosting an event at East Elmwood Community Center (490 Keenleyside) 7:30-9:30pm to teach players the basic of Dodgeball. $10/person, check out the facebook event here.

You should come to this event if:

  1. You have never played dodgeball as an adult
  2. You have played dodgeball in any other league (we are the only league in Winnipeg that uses the international standard WDBF rules)
  3. You are joining our league for the first time
  4. You have teammates who are new and they want you to come so they don’t have to go alone

You should not come to this event if you are already very experienced in dodgeball in our community. This event is 100% focused on teaching players the game and giving them some experience, it will not be like our drop-in events where there is space for both beginner and top level players. For people just looking to get more playing time in, please check out our drop-in today (Tuesday January 2nd) at EECC. Also 7:30-9:30pm.

Come to drop-in tonight!

With most league games cancelled tonight due to people heading off to nationals (except for the one at glenwood which is a make up game) it leaves a lot of us wondering what to do tonight.

Come to our drop-in! Only $10 for 2 hours ($5 if you’ve never played in Dodgeball Winnipeg before)

8:00pm Sturgeon Heights Community Center just off portage ave near Moray. Come 15 minutes early to fill out a waiver. See you tonight!

RRC Dodgeball Tournament

Red River College has a dodgeball tournament coming up shortly. Here is what event organizer Shaun Scrymgeour has to say about it:

“Dodgeballin’ mobros and mosistas! Come join in on some dodging fun and get a chance to check out those early staches coming in, while at the same time (and most importantly), raising some money for prostate cancer research and awareness! A big part of Movember involves getting out, getting moving and living an active lifestyle! Teams of 6-10 will join together for a recreational tournament taking place from 5pm – 9 ish pm in the South Gym of RRC’s Notre Dame Campus. The winning team will earn the title of RRCSA Movember Dodgeball Champs for 2015 and be pictured with our illustrious Moustache Trophy! Lots of prizes up for grabs, $10 entry per person which includes pop, pizza and your donation!”
