Women’s Division Fall 2021 Survey

In order to provide assurance for our competitive female players, we have put together a short survey that will be used to determine the number of teams in the division as well as connect any free agents with one another. The survey will also be used to identify any barriers that may prevent players from participating in the season. Responses will be collected until August 31st after which the aggregate results will be published so that women know exactly how many teams there will be.

If you’re a female athlete who has been considering trying something new, this is a great opportunity to bring in a team of your own or join a team as a free agent. Your skills from other sports will be surprisingly transferrable, and as a young sport the potential to make it to the national/world level is still achievable even if you start in your thirties. A fully vaccinated environment coupled with strong competition makes women’s competitive dodgeball a fantastic and safe place to improve yourself with and against other high caliber women.

The survey can be answered here.

Healthcare Worker Appreciation Night – Drop-in Dodgeball at SPCC

Throughout the pandemic, health care workers have taken it upon themselves to go above and beyond their pre-pandemic duties to offer compassionate care to Manitobans during this unprecedented time.

For the upcoming drop-in, we would like to extend our thanks by offering any healthcare worker free entry to a night of dodgeball, 6:30 – 8:30PM Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Sinclair Park Community Centre. This includes physicians, nurses, support staff & more. Please note the proof of employment will be required in the form of an ID, paystub, etc.

Paid spots can be purchased for $15/person. All proceeds of the drop-in will be donated to the HSC COVID-19 Crisis Response Fund.

The drop-in will be held in full compliance with public health guidelines, and all participants will be required to provide proof of vaccination. Come out and help us say thank you to our friends, family and fellow Manitobans who have put forth this enormous effort in response to the pandemic.
