Foam and Cloth Drop Ins

Dodgeball Winnipeg is excited to be offering an introduction to cloth drop in to allow players to learn and try the format. In addition, we will also be offering a foam drop in. The dates are as follows:

  • Thursday, June 23 FOAM @ Winakwa Community Centre (7:00 – 9:00pm)
  • Monday, June 27 CLOTH @ East Elmwood Community Centre (7:30 – 9:30pm)

Spots can be purchased for $10/person for each drop in. As space is limited to 32 spots for foam and 20 spots for cloth, no refunds will be available, please keep that in mind before you complete your payment. Your spot will not be reserved until payment is received AND the registration form below has been submitted. Thank you for understanding!

To complete your payment, use the shop on the website for your desired drop in date, or e-transfer $10 to payments@dodgeballwinnipeg.com.

Summer 2022 Women’s Division

We are reaching out to the Women of dodgeball with a poll regarding our summer Women’s Division! Even if you did not plan to participate in women’s division this summer but identify as a woman… Please take a peek and fill out our poll while we aid in finding players to round out our teams! We are likely looking for 1-2 teams worth of players, so round up your friends and encourage the completion of our poll to help keep this division running!

Registration for Summer 2022 Now Open

Registration for the summer 2022 season is now open. See the Registration page to register.

  1. Cost: $74.95/player for draft, $575/team for Recreational, and $595/team for Competitive.
  2. Timeslots: There will be 2 timeslots per night for recreational divisions. These must be purchased from the Shop. There will be no timeslots for competitive divisions.
  3. Dates: See the Important Dates page for division start dates and venue information (please note that information on this page is tentative and may change).
  4. Divisions: 
    • Sundays – Bronze, Silver | Platinum | Draft League
    • Tuesdays – Bronze, Silver
    • Wednesdays – Bronze, Silver
    • Thursdays – Men’s Competitive, Women’s Competitive
      *Divisions subject to change based on the number of registered teams.

Registration/roster deadline: Friday, June 24th at 11:59pm for Draft League. Thursday, June 30th at 11:59pm for Team League.

Thursday Schedule

Due to gymnasium limitations, the Thursday schedule may change over the next few days in order to accommodate the women’s double header at Dakota at a different date. Please expect the April 28 games to be swapped with another week to ensure the 9:15 gym space is available to us at Dakota.

Thursday Schedule Update

We have updated the Thursday schedule to include the cancelled games from this week.

Women’s division: all cancelled games were moved to April 28th at Dakota Fieldhouse (so all 4 teams will have double headers that evening). As a result, the season will still conclude as scheduled on June 2nd.

Men’s Division: all cancelled games were moved to May 26th. As a result, the season will now conclude one week later on June 9th.

Thursday Storm Update

Due to the blizzard, Thursday games for this week have been cancelled. Due to the more complex scheduling for our Thursday divisions, we will be assessing how we will be proceeding over the weekend. Potential Storm Update

Winnipeg forecasters are anticipating what could be a historic and significant blizzard hitting the city beginning late Tuesday night & Wednesday morning. We are staying in close contact with our gym partners and monitoring the situation. Once the situation develops further, we will be able to make better decisions regarding Wednesday and Thursday.

Spring 2022 Rules Update

Please note that we have updated some of the rules on our Rules page. The new changes are all indicated bolded red font.

Additionally, for the Thursday Men’s and Women’s divisions, please note that for games taking place at EECC this season, we only have 50 minute slots per game. This means that there will be no break in between halves and we will also need to make every effort possible to start games within 5 minutes of their scheduled start times (if not right on time) to ensure we don’t run behind. Please ensure that your team arrives ready to play at your scheduled game time.
